Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side picked up an excellent victory at Rotherham United last night.

Villa won 2-1 at Rotherham United yesterday, as they defied the odds to come back with just ten men on the pitch.
Tyrone Mings was sent off in the first-half, as Villa went into the break 1-0 down.
However, the claret and blues fought hard to get themselves back into the game and two quick-fire goals in the second period extended Smith’s side’s winning sequence to seven games.
Villa’s whole squad put in a huge effort to ensure that they collected the three points, but McGinn got a special mention from his manager at full time.
“The players were working so hard for each other,” Smith said. “I thought there was two John McGinn’s on the pitch at one stage.”

McGinn has enjoyed a wonderful first season at Villa, and this was one of his finest performances in a claret and blue shirt.
Villa’s victory over Rotherham has helped to further strengthen their place in the play offs, with Smith’s side having a great deal of momentum on their side now.
