While the Bees are expecting that one of the Premier League clubs will submit a formal offer, as of now, the club is yet to receive any.
Brentford boss, Dean Smith, has said that the player will be involved in next Saturday’s friendly with Oxford, if a bid fails to materialize within this week.
“If nobody comes in with this imminent bid, which we were told about, he will be available for the Oxford United game. We have had that chat and he will be happy to do so,” said Smith to Brentford’s official website.
Jota scored 12 goals in 19 starts for Brentford from January till May, and his remarkable form has caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs.
