Jonathan Kodjia has failed to score since Dean Smith joined Aston Villa.

Kodjia has started in Villa’s last three matches, but he is yet to score since Smith took charge.
The Ivorian has been guilty of missing some presentable opportunities for the claret and blues.
But Smith has been encouraged by the fact that Kodjia has continued to get chances.
And the Villa boss does not believe that it will be long before Kodjia gets in amongst the goals again.
Smith said: “There’s a lot of players doing well. Jonathan Kodjia has been playing out left at the moment, and he’s been getting a lot of chances. If he keeps getting those chances, he’ll be walking off with a match ball soon.”

It is not entirely clear whether Kodjia will be selected to start in Villa’s next match, which comes against Birmingham City.
The powerful forward appears to be in competition with Yannick Bolasie for a starting place in the Midlands derby.
Bolasie has impressed off the substitutes’ bench in recent weeks, and there have been calls for him to get a start against Birmingham on Sunday.
