Talks between Tottenham and the striker over a new deal have broken down recently.
Former Premier League striker Dean Saunders has told talkSPORT (broadcast on November 15th) that Harry Kane should be frustrated with his agent regarding his contract situation at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Sun reports that talks between Spurs and the striker over an improved contract at White Hart Lane have stalled in recent times as Kane seeks a wage that sees him earn a similar amount to the other top goalscorers in the Premier League.

But with the England man signing a new long-term deal only in 2015 (via The Sun), Saunders has suggested that his agent missed a trick last year by not negotiating a better contract.
“The other side of the story is when he sat down in the office at Tottenham and the agent sat there and as he’s signing it, the agent was quite happy with that deal he got and so was Harry,” he told talkSPORT.
“There’s four years left on the deal so Harry should say to his agent, ‘Why have you not put a clause in there [where] my wages go up to where they should be then if I do well,’ because he has done well,” he would later add.
As Saunders suggests, it would not have been out of the question for Kane to ask for a better salary when it came to discussing the deal that he would go on to sign last year.
When the contract was signed in February 2015 (via BBC Sport), Kane had already scored 20 goals in all competitions during that season alone, so it was obvious that he had the potential to be a special player despite being on the periphery of the squad before the campaign began.
So, as Saunders suggested, it may have made sense for the 23-year-old’s representative to seek the kind of contract that would have seen the forward’s basic wage increase as he got better and made more of an impact for the team.
