Dean Saunders says that Philippe Coutinho is replaceable at Liverpool.
Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders says that the Reds should sell Philippe Coutinho, should they receive a fee of around £100 million.
According to reports from The Independent, Barcelona have offered a fee of around £80 million for the Brazilian, but Liverpool are demanding a fee of over £130 million.
Coutinho is a key player for Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that he will not sell his prized asset.
However, every player has a price, and former Swansea player Dean Saunders says that Liverpool should sell Coutinho, if the price is right.

He says that Coutinho is a good player, no doubt, but he is “replaceable” at the Anfield club.
He mentions Real Madrid’s Isco as a possible candidate. Two other players, he feels, who Liverpool can look up to replace Coutinho are Manchester United’s Juan Mata and Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Isco played a key role for Real Madrid in their Champions League campaign last season, and has said repeatedly that he is not looking for a move away from the Bernabeu.
Jose Mourinho is unlikely to sell his player to a direct rival club. As it is, Mata can never be a replacement for Coutinho, given how different the two players are.

But Sigurdsson, with all due respect, does not belong to Coutinho’s level, and therefore, to think of him replacing the Brazilian is ludicrous.
“For £100 million, sell him (Coutinho). For me he is replaceable”, said Saunders in Alan Brazil talk show on Friday.
“You could sign Isco for £30 million. He us not getting enough games at Real Madrid. Juan Mata, Sigurdsson – these players you can sign to replace Coutinho.”
