Divock Origi wrote his name into the history books in June after he scored in the Champions League final for Liverpool.

Dean Saunders has slated Divock Origi’s inability to ‘get up’ to the level of his Liverpool teammates as he seemingly claimed that the game is too quick for him.
Origi enjoyed a strong end to the last campaign, as his performances and goals helped Liverpool lift their sixth European crown.
As a result of that success, the popular Reds man penned a new contract at Anfield after the club were previously open to selling him, as reported by the Guardian.
Speaking to the Final Word on TalkSport (04/08/2019 at 6:15 pm), former Wales striker Saunders explained what Origi’s biggest weakness is.
“The higher up you go in football, the player’s brains just think quicker, they do everything quicker,” Saunders told TalkSport. “I think he’s struggling to actually get on the same wavelength as the others.
“Origi does physical, strong things, he’ll get on the end of a cross or whatever, but when they’re interchanging and someone runs in behind, he has to go short or the opposite way, I think he struggling to mentally get up to that sort of level.”

Over the weekend, Origi started Liverpool’s Community Shield defeat against Manchester City as he was substituted for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the second half.
Whilst Origi has proven that he can have a serious impact from the bench, he is yet to showcase that when given a start by Jurgen Klopp.
Ahead of the new Premier League season, he will be hoping to change that and take his game to the next level.
