West Ham United are struggling in the Premier League at the moment.

Chesterfield manager Dean Saunders

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Dean Saunders said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 14, 2016) that West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic must be disappointed with the way his side have conceded some goals this season.

West Ham are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and currently find themselves third from bottom in the league table.

The Hammers have picked up just four points from seven matches and have conceded as many as 17 goals.

Former Derby County and Nottingham Forest striker Saunders believes that Bilic will be disappointed with his team’s defensive problems this season.

“They are letting goals in which are horrific when you see them,” said Saunders on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 14, 2016). “As a centre-back himself, he must be, like, cringing.”

Former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has also given his thoughts on the current problems at West Ham.

Holloway believes that the London Stadium should not be used as an excuse, but he has suggested that it is playing a role in the team’s disappointing results.

West Ham moved into the London Stadium at the start of the season following their departure from the Boleyn Ground.

“It’s not an excuse, but it definitely, definitely doesn’t feel the same and it doesn’t feel the same to the supporters,” said Holloway about the London Stadium on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday morning (broadcast from 10am, October 13, 2016). “You might have more supporters, but sometimes that’s the problem.”

West Ham will take on Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in the Premier League this afternoon.
