AFC Wimbledon beat Tottenham Hotspur’s under-23 side in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Dean Parrett stepped up to score a winner against his former side last night.
Parrett netted a 90th minute strike for AFC Wimbledon in an entertaining 4-3 victory against Tottenham’s under-23s.
Spurs now have just one point from two games in the competition.
Parrett, 25, spent time in Tottenham’s academy between 2008 and 2013 before signing with Stevenage.

He moved to AFC Wimbledon in 2016 and continues to show the promise which saw him represent England at every level up to and including under-20s.
Parrett commented on Twitter after the win, and praised the current crop of Tottenham youngsters for their performance.
Parrett’s goal was his first strike of the season and a good way for him to get off the mark.
Tottenham’s strikes came courtesy of Shilow Tracey, Samuel Shashoua, and Kazaiah Sterling.
