Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Julian Nagelsmann over the past week or so.
Spurs are currently managerless after parting company with Antonio Conte last weekend.
However, the writing was on the wall for Conte following his incendiary post-Southampton press conference.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann is no longer in charge at Bayern Munich, who have since brought in Thomas Tuchel.
The 35-year-old was said to have been sacked, but Alasdair Gold has reported he may be on gardening leave.
“they knew they would not need to pay compensation with the interest in him,” he said of Bayern on football.london.
Now, Dean Jones has given his verdict on the Nagelsmann to Tottenham speculation.
The transfer insider, writing on GiveMeSport, feels the 35-year-old could be tempted by the Spurs job.
However, Jones, reckons Nagelsmann is more likely to sound the role out for now and possibly join in the summer.
“I think that Nagelsmann wants a little time to reflect on what happened to him at Bayern,” he wrote.
“I don’t think he would want to come immediately into the situation he would come into at Tottenham.
“My understanding is that he would rather join in the summer so that he can have a full push at it and completely understand what he’s coming into.
“Also, he can now assess Tottenham if he’s genuinely interested in this job. He can watch the rest of the season play out and see where it’s at.”

Probably the best option for Tottenham
Nagelsmann is, in talkSPORT‘s words, ‘one of the best coaches in the world’.
And with Bayern no longer wanting him in their dugout, there could well be a frenzy as clubs seek to appoint him.
By the sounds of it, Nagelsmann seems keen on Tottenham as a club, not to mention loving Mauricio Pochettino’s style.
He’s probably the best option for Spurs as he’s talented, young and more of a project manager as opposed to a serial winner who wants the top tools from the off.
