West Ham United have been heavily linked with a move for Everton’s Morgan Schneiderlin recently.

Dean Ashton has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 30th January, that he does not want to see Morgan Schneiderlin at West Ham United.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for the Everton midfielder, with BBC Sport reporting of their interest in the midfielder who is valued at £20 million by Sam Allardyce’s side.

West Ham and Everton are thought to be currently negotiating a deal for the central midfielder.

But Ashton does not want to see David Moyes snap up Schneiderlin, as his form at Everton has been poor this season.

Ashton said: “I wouldn’t be keen on Schneiderlin. He’s been extremely poor. Since he left Southampton he’s not been the same player.

“If I’m West Ham I don’t bring in a player who isn’t in good form at this time of the season.”

Everton fans have been heavily critical of Schneiderlin’s performances and attitude this season.

The 28-year-old has not shown his top form at Goodison Park recently, and it could be that a fresh start would benefit him.

West Ham are known to be looking for new signings, as David Moyes’ looks to strengthen his team.
