West Ham have completed the signing of winger Andriy Yarmolenko.

West Ham United have completed the signing of winger Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund in what is their fifth summer signing, which has excited ex-Hammers striker Dean Ashton on Twitter.
The 28-year-old has signed a new four-year deal at the club, with co-owner David Gold announcing the move before the Hammers’ official Twitter account. He joins the club after a disappointing spell with Dortmund.
Yarmolenko moved to the Bundesliga side last summer, but the 77-time Ukraine international was limited to just 26 appearances for German side with competition from Marco Reus, Jadon Sancho and Christian Pulisic proving too much.
He was confirmed as the Hammers’ newest signing on Wednesday, and Ashton reacted to the news by declaring the Ukranian star as a “great signing”.
One of Yarmolenko’s six goals for Dortmund was a screamer against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League and fans will be hoping for more of the same when it comes to facing the north Londoners next term.
Yarmolenko is expected to be first choice at the London Stadium, but he must do battle with the likes of Michail Antonio, Marko Arnautovic, Arthur Masuaku and Robert Snodgrass on the wings.
