Former La Liga star Pablo Fornals has moved to the Premier League with a £24m move to West Ham United.

Dean Ashton has hailed West Ham United’s decision to pay £24 million for Pablo Fornals and believes he is exactly what the club were missing, speaking to the club’s official website.
The diminutive midfielder became The Hammers’ first outfield signing of the summer transfer window, becoming the second most expensive addition in their history behind Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson.
Fornals enjoyed a strong season in a struggling Villarreal team in 2018/19 and West Ham fans have been very enthused by his performances for Spain at the U21 European Championships in Italy.
The former Malaga starlet has scored twice in three games for La Roja, including a stunning last-minute winner in the dramatic 2-1 triumph over Belgium last week.
Clearly, Fornals is a player capable of producing game-changing moments of quality and Ashton believes he will be an inspired addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s attack.
“Fornals is a player that is going to excite West Ham fans,” said the former Hammers striker.
“Nowadays I think a lot of teams are looking more at younger prospects that can improve – like Fornals – and he’s already shown with the Spain Under-21s, like with that winning goal he scored against Belgium, that he has real quality.

“Maybe at times last season that was something the team was slightly lacking in midfield; that bit of creativity to break certain teams down, but he can add that for sure.
“Fornals would absolutely be a striker’s dream to play with.”
The prospect of Fornals linking up with Anderson and potentially Manuel Lanzini or Marko Arnautovic should get fans drooling – especially if West Ham manage to secure the services of an exciting centre-forward like Salomon Rondon or Maxi Gomez.
