West Ham United’s summer signings have not had the desired impact at the London Stadium.
Dean Ashton has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on the 1st December, that it is very clear where West Ham United went wrong last summer.
West Ham brought in a number of new players to the London Stadium, but almost all of their new recruits have struggled.
The likes of Sofiane Feghouli, Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri have all suffered awful starts at the London Stadium.

And Ashton believes that West Ham are struggling as they missed out on many of Slaven Bilic’s first choice signings.
“It’s clear that they didn’t get their first choice targets, especially in terms of a striker,” Ashton said.
“Zaza’s not good enough, Calleri has been very, very poor, Ashley Fletcher is only 21 and you can’t expect him to be banging in the goals. That’s what they’re missing out on, they’re missing a couple of players.”

West Ham were dumped out of the EFL Cup yesterday evening, after falling to a 4-1 defeat to Manchester United.
The loss at Old Trafford was another blow after what has been a highly disappointing campaign for the Hammers so far.
West Ham are currently in 16th place in the Premier League table, and they are only one place above the relegation zone.
West Ham are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Arsenal at the London Stadium.
