West Bromwich Albion are still looking for new signings.
West Bromwich Albion’s new assistant coach Gary Megson has told Sky Sports that the club are trying to bring in five new signings before Saturday’s games with Bournemouth.
Whilst the Baggies have seen Premier League rivals splash the cash this summer, they have signed just two new players, with Ahmed Hegazy arriving from Fiorentina, and Jay Rodriguez signing from Southampton.

Fans are expecting more new additions before the end of the summer transfer window, with a new midfielder almost certainly wanted after Darren Fletcher’s more to rivals Stoke City.
Another centre back and left back should also be targeted, whilst fans may also be keen to see more flair added to the final third, though Tony Pulis hasn’t always been known for exuberance in attack.
West Brom’s first Premier League game against Bournemouth is just a matter of days away, and the Baggies may be hoping to bring in a few new faces before that meeting at The Hawthorns.
Pulis recently brought back former Baggies boss Gary Megson as his assistant coach, and Megson has spoken to Sky Sports about the club’s hopes in the transfer market.
Megson revealed that West Brom are hoping to bring in five new signings before Saturday’s game, with plenty of work going on behind the scenes to get deals over the line, with some moves potentially close to completion.

Megson added that he knows who Pulis is hoping to sign, and whilst signing five players in the next four days may be difficult, West Brom are going to try everything they can to get signings in before kick off against Bournemouth.
“There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes and we just need to get them over the line,” said Megson. “It could happen because the ground work has been done. I have seen the list of players that [Tony Pulis] wants and I know the people whose job it is to push them over are doing the best that they can. Whether wanting five before Saturday is unrealistic it doesn’t mean that you don’t try,” he added.
