Liverpool face a tough challenge away at Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Tottenham play host to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday, and there will be numerous battles on the pitch that will go a long way to determining the winner of the contest.
One key area will be Liverpool’s left side, with Andrew Robertson set to face what will arguably be the toughest challenge of his fledgling career to date.
Lucas Moura is on fire for Spurs, and usually operates in the wide right area, and whilst the Brazilian on his own will pose a serious threat, Robertson will also have to deal with Keiran Trippier running at him regularly throughout the course of the game.
And how the Scot deals with the two-pronged right sided attack on Saturday will be a great indication of just how far he has come.
Robertson is well-renowned for bombing forward and providing Liverpool with another attacking outlet down the left hand flank, but he might just have to tailor his game at the weekend, in a bid to nullify Tottenham’s threat down his side of the pitch.
The 24-year-old will have to demonstrate a certain kind of maturity, and display in-game management to ensure that he is not caught out of position at crucial times.
If Robertson wins his individual battles with Lucas and Trippier, there is a very good chance that Liverpool will leave London with a positive result to show for their efforts, and it will further cement the Scot’s ascension to the very top of the game.
