Leeds United target Rodrigo de Paul still appears to be in Udinese training, despite wanting a move to Elland Road.
De Paul set pulses racing at Elland Road yesterday, when he suggested that he wanted a move to Leeds on Twitter.
The Argentine then went on to delete his Twitter account, as he looked to avoid a backlash from the comment.
But it seems that any move to Leeds still is some way off.
De Paul has missed some of Udinese’s pre-season games, but he remains in training with the squad.
While that can hardly be considered a major blow for Leeds, it does suggest that Udinese aren’t expecting his transfer to go through in the imminent future.
Leeds will have to break their transfer record to sign De Paul, according to Fabrizio Romano, and it seems they are still deciding whether to meet the Serie A side’s asking price.
If Leeds do sign De Paul he could be an incredible addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad, and his arrival would really highlight the Whites’ ambition for the new campaign.
