Nigel de Jong told ITV on Monday evening that reported Everton target, Denzel Dumfries, is having an ‘amazing’ Euro 2020.
The 25-year-old has started all three games for Holland, who have picked up three wins, and will now be preparing for the knockout stages.
Dutch outlet Eindhoven Dagblad report that Marcel Brands at Everton is ‘convinced’ about signing the versatile attacker and they would have to pay only £13 million for his talents.
And De Jong thinks, Dumfries, who has scored two goals at Euro 2020, is due for a ‘big transfer’ once the tournament is over.
“He’s having an amazing tournament, so far,” said De Jong. “I think this system (3-5-2) really suits him.
“He is coming off a 4-3-3 system with PSV, but if you play in these kinds of systems in a 3-5-2, it gives a bit of freedom to the wing-backs.
“One side Dumfries and the other side Patrick van Aanholt. And you don’t have to think about defending that much. It really suits him.
“He’s by far one of the best players in this national team. By the looks of it, he will probably make a big transfer by the end of the Euros.”

Usually, the Dutch are associated with a 4-3-3, but not this one managed by Frank de Boer.
The former Crystal Palace boss may have endured a difficult time in the Premier League, but he’s brought a sense of flair, dynamism and all-action style to this Dutch side.
Dumfries has been deployed as a right-sided wing-back by his manager, with the PSV man able to play further forward at club level.
And with Everton needing that attacking threat out wide, he is perhaps a player that they, and their possible new manager, should look out for.
