Blackburn Rovers fan have instantly warmed to Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott after they were impressed with his debut performance on Wednesday night.

Even though the Championship side suffered a 3-1 defeat at Watford, the Rovers faithful liked what they saw from the teenage attacking talent.

Tony Mowbray opted to chuck the rising Liverpool star straight into the starting XI yesterday and even kept him on the pitch for the entire match.

It may have been a disappointing evening for the Lancashire club but it was an evening of promise from Elliott.

Straight after the match, he took to his Instagram account to share his thoughts on his debut and how he was ‘proud’ to be given such an opportunity.

Harry Wilson responded to his message by saying: ‘Congrats bro’. Whilst Rhian Brewster wrote a similar message to his former Anfield teammate.
