Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter after Alexander Sorloth’s £20 million move to RB Leipzig was finally confirmed, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Norway international joined the Eagles for £9 million from FC Midtjylland in 2018 but only scored one goal in 20 games for the south Londoners.

As a result, Sorloth spent time on loan at Genk and Trabzonspor, making his name at the latter club with 33 goals in all competitions last season.

Such incredible form has earned him a move to Champions League outfit RB Leipzig, where he will replace Timo Werner.

The Daily Mail’s report states that, due to the terms of Palace’s loan agreement with Trabzonspor, the £20 million fee will be split 50/50 with the Turkish club.

The Guardian recently reported Palace hope to put the Sorloth money towards a move for Brentford’s Said Benrahma.

The Evening Standard also revealed the Eagles have been in talks with the Bees over the Algerian attacker.
