Everton have snapped up Davy Klaassen from Ajax, with Ronald Koeman’s side keen to strengthen their squad.
Everton’s latest addition Davy Klaassen has taken to social media website Twitter to express his delight at signing for the Merseyside club.
Klaassen has signed for Everton from Ajax for £23.6 million, on a five-year contract (BBC Sport).
And the 24-year-old midfielder says that he cannot wait to get started at Goodison Park.
Klaassen has become Everton’s second signing of the summer so far, with Jordan Pickford also joining yesterday.
Klaassen is expected to go straight into Everton’s starting line-up following his arrival.
Ronald Koeman has already suggested that Klaassen will be tasked with providing goals and assists for the Toffees next term.
Klaassen’s arrival is expected to kick-start Everton’s summer business, with more new signings set to follow the attacking midfielder to Goodison Park.
Everton are closing in on competing a transfer for M’Baye Niang from AC Milan (Daily Express), with Koeman’s side looking likely to be one of the biggest spending teams in the Premier League this summer.
