Everton boss Ronald Koeman has reportedly made Davy Klaassen one of his top transfer targets.

Everton linked Davy Klaassen has admitted to De Telegraaf that his time at Ajax could be coming to an end.

Ajax played their final home game of the season last weekend, which they won 4-0.

And, after the contest, Klaassen was asked about the rising interest in his services.

It is believed that Everton are preparing a £25 million bid for the attacking midfielder (Daily Mail).

And when asked about the rumours, the exciting 24-year-old talent said: “Was this my last home game for Ajax? I do not know.

“You know the rumours are occasionally about, but I always find it difficult to answer. The season is still running and I have not made a choice yet.”

Klaassen is believed to be being targeted by Everton to become a direct replacement for Ross Barkley.

Barkley’s current contract expires at the end of next season, and he will be sold – unless he puts pen to paper on a new deal.

If Everton did move for Klaassen he would likely be one of a number of additions that Ronald Koeman’s side make this summer, with the Merseyside outfit keen to upgrade the quality of their squad.
