Tottenham Hotspur have missed the Colombia international.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez’s red card came at the worst possible time, with Toby Alderweireld already ruled out until 2018 and Spurs forced to bring Eric Dier into the back line despite the England international doing his best work further forward.
The Colombian’s dismissal against Watford played its part in Tottenham managing only a point against the Hornets and, while Spurs fared better against Stoke City and Brighton and Hove Albion, the 4-1 hammering away to Manchester City showed how far Mauricio Pochettino’s side still has to go.

Now Sanchez is ready to return for Tottenham’s game against Burnley and the 21-year-old needs to hit the ground running.
The matches are coming thick and fast for a Spurs side that will still has aspirations of finishing second in the Premier League, even if the prospect of a title tilt in 2018 appears over after City’s outstanding form.

Fresh from his three-game absence and with youth on his side, Sanchez could be vital as Tottenham attempt to get back to winning ways and build up some momentum heading into the new year.
Tottenham’s record signing wasted little time impressing following his move from Ajax, but now he needs to do it all over again.
