The Rangers striker was consistently linked with a move away from Ibrox during the summer transfer window.

Morelos is in the midst of a hot streak of goals.
He’s already netted an impressive 12 so far this season, well on his way to equalling or bettering last year’s tally of 30.
Also playing especially well against Feyenoord on Thursday night, without finding the back of the net, he’s showing he has the quality to play at a higher level than he does currently.
Morelos was the subject of transfer interest throughout the summer transfer window, with West Brom (The Daily Record) and Eintracht Frankfurt (The Daily Record) both keen on bringing him to a top five European league.
It’s the kind of thing that could unsettle the forward, or see him look to force through a move, but Provan feels based on last week’s showing that the 23-year-old is unaffected by all the reports and rumours.
As quoted by The Scottish Sun, he said: “Rangers players gave Steven Gerrard everything he asked of them to beat Feyenoord.
“On the evidence of Alfredo Morelos’ contribution, the Colombian’s head is in a good place after all the transfer talk.
“On a night Rangers should have had the game put to bed by half-time, the Old Firm didn’t do Scottish football’s reputation any harm. Nice one.”
Morelos’ future
There’s a recognition at Ibrox that one day Morelos will leave the club, and likely for big money. However, there’s no reason for fans to worry for a while.
The Ibrox side are unlikely to sell him mid-season, knowing what a blow that would be to their trophy hunt. It seems likely that the player will be in Glasgow for the foreseeable future, until next summer at least.

As Provan notes, all the speculation has not impacted on his game one bit. In fact, he’s probably better this season than he has been ever before.
With his contract not expiring until 2023, the Gers are well in control of the player’s future however it all pans out.
