Dembele has enjoyed a sensational start to life at Celtic and has been linked with a host of clubs.
Davie Provan has suggested that with the funds that Celtic will make from their Champions League campaign and from possibly winning the Treble, they have no excuse for not keeping Moussa Dembele at Parkhead, The Scottish Sun reports.
Glasgow Live recently reported that Tottenham, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain were keeping a keen eye on the 20-year-old, who has enjoyed a sensational start to life with the Hoops.
And Brendan Rodgers essentially confirmed to talkSPORT that while he did not expect a move to take place during the upcoming January transfer window, they will do very well to keep hold of Dembele for more than a couple of years.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele
But Provan has pointed to the financial rewards that have come and are set to come from Rodgers’ first campaign with the Bhoys as a reason why the club should have the strength to keep hold of their brightest prospect.
“On top of a £30m Champions League bounty, Celtic Park is selling out again. Throw in the prize money from a potential Treble and Celtic should be flush for cash,” he told The Scottish Sun.
“There can be no excuse for selling their best players next summer. If that means ramping up Moussa Dembele’s wages to keep him, do it. Ambition usually has a price.”

What would have surely appealed to the Frenchman when he was deciding where to go when he was preparing to leave Fulham in the summer was the fact that he was joining a prestigious club who are always competing for trophies but also in Europe’s premier competition.
But with his stock rising with almost every performance, it appears that he will soon have offers from clubs who also feature regularly in the Champions League but also feature in a much more competitive domestic league, and thus, it may be much more difficult for Celtic to keep him, regardless of how much money they have at their disposal.
