Celtic continue to struggle under Neil Lennon having only managed a 1-1 draw with St Johnstone on Sunday.
The Bhoys have been in dismal form of late, and they looked to be heading towards a 1-0 defeat yesterday, before Mohamed Elyounoussi rescued Lennon and co.
Celtic have won just one of their last five league games, crashed out of the Scottish League Cup to Ross County, lost to Rangers at Parkhead, crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers to Ferencvaros and managed to concede 17 goals in five dismal Europa League games.
Lennon is clinging onto his job, and many now want him to be replaced as Celtic’s hopes of winning a tenth league title in a row dwindle.
Some are turning their attention towards the summer recruitment, and specifically Celtic’s goalkeeping situation.
Celtic lost Craig Gordon as he returned to Hearts, and when they couldn’t keep Fraser Forster, the Bhoys turned to Vasilis Barkas of AEK Athens.
The Greek international has struggled so far, and pundit and ex-Celtic player Davie Provan has now wondered just how many times he was actually scouted before being signed.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun, Provan questioned who paid £5million for him, and believes they would have been better off if Lennon had kept Gordon instead.
“It wouldn’t be fair to scapegoat Vasilis Barkas but who scouted this guy? How many times was he watched in the flesh?” said Provan.
“Who decided he was good value at £5million? If Celts had spent a fraction of that money upgrading Craig Gordon’s contract they’d be in better nick,” he added.
