Davie Provan has been discussing the impact that Brendan Rodgers has made since arriving at Celtic.

Davie Provan has told The Scottish Sun that had James Forrest and Stuart Armstrong left Celtic last summer they would not have been missed by the supporters.
Forrest and Armstrong have been two of the Hoops’ key players this season, scoring 16 goals and contributing 13 assists in the Scottish Premiership between them.
However, few would have expected the duo to make such an impact at Parkhead this season, with Provan suggesting that their form under Brendan Rodgers’ predecessor Ronny Deila meant that had they left in the summer, the supporters would not have been particularly disappointed.
“Take both Stuart Armstrong and James Forrest. Had that pair left the club last season, they wouldn’t have been missed,” he told The Scottish Sun.

“Like others in that dressing room they’d lost their way under the previous regime.
“Brendan’s coaching nous and man-management has reinvented them. That’s what proper managers do, they improve players.”
As Provan alluded to, Rodgers’ arrival seems to have ignited a spark in both Armstrong and Forrest, and appears to have done something similar for players like Scott Sinclair, who may have previously been written off after struggling in recent years.
The Northern Irishman’s impact so far would suggest that, in future, any player struggling within the squad has the potential to turn their fortunes around.
And that fact will certainly help if the Bhoys have to sell some of their key players over the coming years and need some of the members of the squad previously on the fringes to step up and make an impact.
