Steven Gerrard has been brilliant for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

Davie Provan has told The Scottish Sun that Rangers fans ‘need to get real’ if they think that Steven Gerrard is at Ibrox for the long term.
Gerrard has done a remarkable job since taking the Rangers job last summer, in what is his first senior management role.
The Liverpool icon propelled the Gers into the Europa League proper, with the Glasgow giants challenging Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
The Hoops were rocked by Brendan Rodgers’s decision to quit Parkhead for Premier League side Leicester City last week.
And Provan claims that Gerrard would happily follow the Northern Irishman to England’s top flight – especially if the Liverpool job became available.
He told The Scottish Sun: “Rangers fans who believe Gerrard will do a long shift at Ibrox need to get real. Like Rodgers, his work in Glasgow is an audition for a better job in England.
“When asked for his take on Rodgers’ exit, Gerrard chose his words carefully. He stopped short of a long-term commitment to Rangers for good reason. He knows he could be following Rodgers down the M74 at any minute.”
Is Provan right? He might be. If the prospect of making more history with Celtic and leading them to a third successive domestic treble wasn’t enough to keep Rodgers in Glasgow, what incentive would Gerrard have if a top-flight English side came knocking?
It’s a question of ambition and the 37-year-old might only be cutting his teeth in top-level management, but the day he becomes as sought after as Rodgers is the day Rangers fans must worry.
