The £4.5 million man has made an impression at Celtic already.
Celtic legend Davie Hay has told The Glasgow Evening Times that Olivier Ntcham will get a lot better as he continues to adapt to life in Glasgow.
The 21-year-old made his competitive Celtic debut in Wednesday night’s 4-0 Champions League win over Linfield.
The French midfielder, a £4.5 million signing from Manchester City, has certainly made an impression on Hoops fans in the two games that he has played so far – he also figured in a 4-0 friendly defeat by Lyon last weekend.
And Hay, who played for and managed the Scottish giants, says there is “much more to come” from the youngster.
“Olivier Ntcham, Celtic’s most expensive player for a decade, showed up particularly well in Wednesday night’s 4-0 win over Linfield,” he told The GET.
“And given that he has barely had a chance to get his feet in the door and get a proper pre-season under his belt, it is fair to say that there is much more still to come from the 21-year-old.”
Indeed, it seems like manager Brendan Rodgers has found another gem – even if he paid a lot of money for him.
