The Croatian midfielder agreed to move to Ibrox last week, becoming Mark Warburton’s sixth summer signing.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Glasgow Rangers assistant manager David Weir says he is sure the club’s fans cannot wait to see Niko Kranjcar turn out for the club.
Kranjcar arrived at Ibrox last week, completing a move after his deal with North American Soccer League side New York Cosmos came to an end.

He has agreed a two-year deal with Mark Warburton’s side as they look to pose a serious challenge to Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
He is one of several experienced players that Gers have targeted this summer, with Warburton keen to add experience to his relatively youthful squad.
Weir is more focused on the quality he will bring though, saying that Rangers fans cannot wait to see him in the club’s colours.
“His quality is excellent and it is our job to get that out of him,” he told rangers.co.uk.
“It’s exciting times and he is an exciting signing for us, and I am sure the fans can’t wait to see him in a Rangers jersey.”

It will now be interesting to see if Warburton continues to try to add more experience to his squad this summer.
He has deliberately targeted older players in this transfer window with signings such as Kranjcar, Joey Barton, Matt Gilks and Clint Hill all arriving already.
Whether he believes that is enough for his plans remains to be seen, with those four certainly adding a wealth of experience already.
