Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has been in superb form this season.

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday, and raved about the quality of Harry Kane, labelling him as Europe’s best striker on current form, as quoted by Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old has been quite simply brilliant for Spurs this season, racking up an impressive 35 goals in 36 outings in all competitions thus far, and he is now widely considered to be one of the continent’s most feared front-men.

Unfortunately for Tottenham fans, though, Kane’s form has not gone unnoticed, with the Sun claiming that Real Madrid are lining up a £200 million summer bid for the England international.

Wagner’s side will have to be at their very best to contain Kane on Saturday, and the German responded to reporters asking him whether the Spurs man is the best in Europe at the moment, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“At the moment I think he is. He is a fantastic striker. Unfortunately not in our team but he is a fantastic team. This is one of the reasons why this Premier League is so exciting is that there are players like him.”

Kane is on course to finish the season as Europe’s top goalscorer, and it is also well within the realms of possibility that he could match or even beat Clive Allen’s club record of 49 goals scored in a single campaign.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, the 24-year-old will be one of the most highly-coveted strikers in the summer, and Tottenham will do well to keep hold of him.
