David Villa has responded with a four-word verdict on BeIN Sports when asked if Harry Kane will leave Tottenham and join Real Madrid – with the Spaniard confident that the England skipper will end up wearing a Real Madrid shirt.
Kane, 29, failed to score for England on Monday but laid on two assists as Gareth Southgate’s side got off to a superb start at the World Cup. He is expected to be fit enough to start for England on Friday, against the United States.
But while he impresses in Qatar, Kane’s future at Tottenham remains in doubt. His contract at Spurs is due to expire at the end of the 2023-24 season. But if he does not sign a new deal before the end of the season, he could be sold.
Daniel Levy will want to get as much as possible for his striker. So, selling him at the end of the season might give him that opportunity, Asked if Kane could join Real Madrid, legendary Villa gave a four-word verdict: “I believe so, yeah.”

Villa verdict when asked if Kane will leave Tottenham and join Madrid
Of all the clubs in the world, a move to Real Madrid seems the most likely. Bayern are also in the market for a striker but will they be able to afford a player like Kane? Then, even if they can, would he want to move to Germany?
A move to Madrid just seems that bit more glamorous. Indeed, there is little chance Kane leaves for another Premier League club. City have Erling Haaland, Chelsea and Arsenal are Spurs rivals, Manchester United is a sideways move.
Of the European heavyweights that need a striker, Madrid need to bring in a replacement for Karim Benzema. But he is still in stunning form. Do Madrid replace him? If this is Benzema’s last season, a move for Kane makes sense.
