Leeds United are said to be interested in signing Jack Harrison from Manchester City.
Leeds United’s latest transfer target Jack Harrison comes with recommendations from David Villa and Frank Lampard.
Leeds are set to sign Harrison on loan from Manchester City for the season according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, and they will look to provide the youngster with regular first-team action.
Harrison is yet to make an impact in English football, but he did very well during his time in America.
Harrison was playing New York City side as Lampard and Villa, and the pair were both very impressed with him.
Lampard told MLSSoccer.com: “I speak to Jack all the time.
“I think there a lot of big things to come from Jack. I like him, he’s a great lad, great ability.”
Villa was even more effusive with his praise, telling the Guardian: “I’ve spent a lot of years in this game, and he has something important that only a few players have. When he has the ball at his feet, you get the sensation something is going to happen.”
The comments should excite Leeds fans, who will now be able to see Harrison’s talents first-hand.
Harrison spent part of last season at Middlesbrough, but arguably wasn’t suited to Tony Pulis’ more direct style.
But Leeds could work out to be an ideal destination for Harrison, as Marcelo Bielsa will surely encourage him to get on the ball and show his creative skills as often as possible.
