Everton are set to present Sam Allardyce as their new manager today.

Everton coach David Unsworth has told Sky Sports that new manager Sam Allardyce has his ‘full backing’ after landing the Goodison Park job.
The Toffees responded well from Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Southampton, as they thrashed West Ham United 4-0 at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
Wayne Rooney scored a hat-trick – including a stunning goal from his own half – before Ashley Williams sealed the win with a late finish from Gylfi Sigurdsson’s delivery, in what proved to be Unsworth’s final match as caretaker.

Unsworth had stepped into the job on a temporary basis after Ronald Koeman’s sacking last month, and faced some tough times with heavy defeats to Southampton and Atalanta in the last week.
With Everton moving to appoint Sam Allardyce as their new manager this week, Unsworth will now revert back to his previous role as Everton’s Under-23 coach, with the Toffees finally landing a boss after more than a month of searching.
Allardyce, 63, will now be charged with the task of getting Everton out of trouble, and given his record with the likes of Blackburn Rovers, West Ham United, Sunderland and Crystal Palace, many believe Everton will be safe under his tutelage.
Now, Unsworth has told Sky Sports that he will fully back Allardyce in the job, offering a message to fans that he needs time and patience in order to succeed at Goodison Park.

Unsworth added that he spoke to Allardyce for around 10 minutes before Wednesday’s game, and plans to speak with him again in the coming days as ‘Big Sam’ gets settled into his new job.
“Well, Sam has my full backing,” said Unsworth. “The board have made their decision and like any manager, he needs to be afforded time, patience. He needs to be given the chance and the backing from the whole football club and he certainly has my backing.”
“I had 10 minutes with him [Allardyce] this afternoon at Finch Farm. He came in with Steve Walsh and had a look around, so I had a quick 10 minutes with him, I’m sure I’ll have a more in-depth conversation with him in the next few days, about individuals and the squad and I’ll have a couple of days off, if you don’t mind!” he added.
