Everton Under-23 drew with Arsenal 0-0 on Monday night.

Everton Under-23 boss David Unsworth has told the club’s official website that defensive duo Tyias Browning and Morgan Feeney are a step above at that age level.
The Toffees first team beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and on Monday it was the turn of Everton’s Under-23’s.
With Arsenal’s first team in action against Leicester City on Monday night, this game unsurprisingly didn’t get much coverage, especially as it finished 0-0 at Meadow Park.
Everton do stay top of the Premier League 2 table after their point, and saw the likes of Beni Baningime and summer signing Joao Virginia feature in the stalemate.
However, manager David Unsworth picked out two other players for praise, in centre backs Tyias Browning and Morgan Feeney, who started in a back five on Monday night.
Browning, who turns 25 in May, has come up through the ranks with Everton having joined back in 2004, but looks set to leave the club given that he is out of contract at the end of the season and is some way away from Marco Silva’s first team.

19-year-old Feeney is looking to make a breakthrough at Everton having featured for England at U17, U18 and U19 levels, and Unsworth has told the club’s official website that he thinks both players are a class above Under-23 level – but with Browning unlikely to feature for Everton’s first team, it may be Feeney that Silva is most impressed with off the back of Unsworth’s comments.
“We should have won the game,” said Unsworth. “The back five were outstanding – we limited Arsenal to a couple of opportunities. Kyle John, on his first start, was outstanding, and Tyias and Morgan look a class above at this level. It was a good defensive display but I am leaving here thinking we should have had three points,” he added.
