Celtic have today confirmed the signing of Motherwell playmaker David Turnbull – 14 months since his proposed move collapsed.
The Bhoys wanted to sign Turnbull last summer, going as far as agreeing a fee and personal terms with the midfielder.
However, a knee injury found in his medical not only scuppered his move, but also meant he missed most of the season.
Now back playing again, Turnbull immediately became a renewed Celtic target, and Neil Lennon has finally landed his man.
Celtic have announced a four-year deal for Turnbull, making a necessary addition after Wednesday’s Champions League embarrassment at the hands of Ferencvaros.
The 21-year-old starred in the 2018-19 season, racking up 16 goals and seven assists for Motherwell, and now adds another threat to Lennon’s side.

Now, Turnbull has taken to Twitter in order to react to his move, admitting that he is ‘absolutely buzzing’ to finally make the move a reality.
Turnbull added that it has been a ‘crazy year’ since missing out on that Celtic move, but believes it all worth it in the end having finally signed for the Bhoys.
