Gomez is a very talented and promising young defender, but the 20-year-old has yet to make an impact for the Liverpool first team.
The Reds do have some experienced and good players in defence, and it would make sense for the former Charlton Athletic youngster to join another club on a season-long loan deal.
There have been interest in the Liverpool youngster, according to various media reports over the past few weeks.
Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has already told The Argus that he wants Gomez, who is on the radar of Scottish giants Celtic, according to The Sun.
The Mirror has credited Birmingham City with interest in the defender, who cost Liverpool a transfer fee of £3.5 million – as reported by The Sun – when he made the switch from Charlton in 2015.
