West Ham United’s owners have come under fire from the club’s fans this season.

A report from the Express this morning suggests that the Hammers co-owners are considering selling part of their stake in the club, but David Sullivan fiercely refuted those claims, outlining both his and David Gold’s intent to remain at the club for the long-term, via a statement made on the club’s official website.
West Ham have endured an extremely challenging campaign this season, after their poor player recruitment in the summer.
And the Hammers fanbase have not held back in their criticism of the West Ham owners, blaming them for their side’s lack of progression this term.
And the Express claim that both Sullivan and Gold are actively looking for new investors, now that the East London outfit are on the verge of securing their Premier League status for another season.
But Sullivan fiercely denied those claims, and issued a statement via WHUFC.com:

“It is no secret that both David Gold and I see our long term futures as custodians of West Ham United. We have never once viewed West Ham United as a short term project and plan to be here for many, many years, bringing further progress to the Club on and off the pitch, and success to our loyal supporters. It disappoints me to see an article published that is so utterly false.”
If Sullivan and Gold do remain at the club, in a controlling capacity, they must ensure that they back Slaven Bilic financially in the summer transfer window, if they are to redeem themselves to the club’s supporters.
And if they do that, maybe then West Ham will make the genuine progress that was expected of them this season.
