West Ham United appointed David Moyes as their new manager on Tuesday.

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has told The Sun that he has already promised new manager David Moyes that he has nobody else lined up to take his job at the end of the season.
The Hammers were thumped 4-1 by Liverpool on Saturday evening, and that proved to be Slaven Bilic’s final game in charge after a disappointing start to the season.
Bilic enjoyed a strong first season, but it’s been downhill from there, and his reign in East London – which lasted over two years – is now over, having been sacked on Monday.

West Ham wasted little time in finding his replacement though, as they confirmed the appointment of David Moyes as their new manager on Tuesday.
The Scot, 54, has been out of work since leaving Sunderland at the end of last season, and the fact that Sunderland suffered relegation under his stewardship has not gone down well with West Ham fans.
Moyes has endured a nightmarish few years, losing his job at Manchester United after just 10 months, before lasting just a year at Real Sociedad and then suffering relegation with Sunderland.
The Scot must now rebuild his reputation, with West Ham hoping that he can replicate his 11 successful years with Everton, and Hammers co-owner David Sullivan has now explained the decision to The Sun.

Sullivan admitted that the move is a gamble, but Moyes must still be a good manager after his work with Everton, and even revealed that he has promised Moyes that there is no manager lined up to take his job when his contract expires at the end of the season.
“This is a gamble but let’s see where we are at the end of the season. I believe he will keep us up,” said Sullivan. “I have promised him nobody else has been lined up, that we have not signed another manager for next season. This is his job and he has to grab it. It is a big chance for him.”
“You don’t do what he did at Everton for ten years and become a bad manager — he is a good manager. He did not make this about money. It is about re-establishing himself, taking his chance and keeping West Ham in the Premier League,” he added.
