Some West Ham United fans are not happy with the transfer business conducted by the club in the last few windows.

West Ham United‘s owners were full of promises to fans ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium last summer.

A torrid first half of the season has improved of late with the Hammers now sat in 10th place off the back of five wins from the last seven league games.

But a forgettable six months has culminated in Slaven Bilic losing wantaway superstar Dimitri Payet.

Issues at the new stadium have driven a wedge between factions of supporters and the club’s owners David Sullivan and David Gold.

A terrible summer of transfer business has not helped either with fan left disgruntled over what they feel are broken promises when it comes to West Ham’s dealings in the transfer market.

Supporters were promised big money, marquee signings as they made the move to Stratford in the summer.

Indeed the ability to compete with the Premier League elite as a result of the stadium move was held up as a carrot to fans dubious over the decision to leave the club’s famous Boleyn Ground home of 112 years.

Instead Bilic’s squad was diluted by a glut of poor quality loans or free transfer signings in the summer. And having lost Payet this month, only Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte have come in with most fans feeling the club needed at least another striker and a right back.

Most supporters accept it takes time to build.

But Sullivan and Gold have left many fans – 52,000 of whom signed up to their vision by purchasing season tickets for their new home, second only to Manchester United – reeling with their lack of ambition.

Those disgruntled supporters are letting their feelings be known on radio phone-ins and social media.

But in an interview with talkSPORT Sullivan has issued a plea to the club’s fans.

“Bear with us and we’ll have another go in the summer,” Sullivan told Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast.

The comment shows Sullivan simply is not in tune with the feelings of West Ham’s fanbase who expected so much more when they left their beloved Upton Park in pursuit of success.
