West Ham United had plenty of ups and downs this season.

West Ham co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan wrote a joint statement for the club’s official website, and highlighted the Hammers’ win over Tottenham as their moment of the 2018/19 season.

The east London outfit experienced somewhat of an inconsistent campaign this season, ending up in 10th spot, but they finished on a high, winning their last three games.

The game that stood out for most West Ham fans, however, was their superb 1-0 win at Tottenham last month.

The Hammers were the first side to win, and score, at Spurs’ new stadium, and because of that, their name with be etched in history.

And Sullivan and Gold praised the West Ham players for their marvellous performance against their London rivals, when making a joint statement for the club’s official website:

“Manuel Pellegrini and his players have produced some magical moments, marvellous performances and memorable victories – most recently in a certain part of north London! – and, above all, have created a spirit and identity that we believe all Hammers fans have genuine faith in.”

West Ham will undoubtedly be looking for a top seven finish next season, but in order to do that, Manuel Pellegrini will have to spend big this summer.

Whether Sullivan and Gold back him accordingly, however, remains to be seen.
