Manchester City will face West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
David Silva and Dimitri Payet are two of the Premier League’s most creative players, and they will be facing each other on Saturday evening when Manchester City take on West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium.
While Spain international playmaker Silva will be looking to fire City to their sixth successive league win, France international attacking midfielder Payet will be aiming to keep up his good run of form since joining West Ham from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille in the summer transfer window.
City will be favourites to win as they are at home and have a better squad, but they have to be wary of the danger that Payet will pose.
| Total Tackles | Tackles won | Goal Assist | Chances created | Goals | Total Shots | Shots on Target | Total Dribbles | Dribbles Won | Dispossessed | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| David Silva | 6 | 6 | 4 | 13 | 1 | 8 | 2 | 9 | 6 | 15 | 4 | 344 |
| Dimitri Payet | 6 | 5 | 1 | 16 | 3 | 8 | 3 | 18 | 12 | 7 | 5 | 448 |
As the above Opta Stats table shows, Payet has been playing just as well as Silva so far this campaign, if not better.
While the former Valencia star has provided more assists that Payet (four to one), he has created fewer than chances than the Frenchman (13 to 16).
The West Ham star has also attempted and won more dribbles than Silva, and he has been dispossessed fewer times as well.
However, one needs to consider that Payet has played five times in the Premier League so far this season, while Silva has featured in four games.
This means that on average Silva has created 3.25 chances per match while Payet has created 3.2 chances per game.
