Former Manchester City goalkeeper David Seaman has told City AM that neither Arsenal nor Tottenham Hotspur will win the Premier League title this season.

The former Arsenal star has backed Pep Guardiola’s City to win the league title, and has also spoken highly of Chelsea and Manchester United.

“The two Manchester clubs and Chelsea are better equipped than either Tottenham or Arsenal to win the Premier League,” Seaman told City AM. “I think if Arsenal were to get close they would have to play brilliantly all the time.

“Tottenham will go close if they do the same but, for me, it is going to be between the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea.

“I wouldn’t say that Arsenal or Tottenham cannot win the league but If I was going to bet with money, it would be on Manchester City.”

Manchester City have been the best team in the Premier League so far this season and are playing some wonderful football at the moment.

The way Guardiola’s team are playing, it is going to be hard for any side to catch them, even for Manchester United or Chelsea.

United also have a very strong squad, and with star midfielder Paul Pogba and world-class striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic now back from injury, they are only going to get better.

Chelsea won the Premier League last season, and although some of their performances this campaign have not been exactly convincing, they do have a squad good enough to make it two league titles in a row.
