Tottenham Hotspur managed to pick up a 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

David Seaman has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 9th November, that Tottenham Hotspur surprised him in the North London derby.

Tottenham managed to pick up a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday, and their performance was impressive.

Mauricio Pochettino switched to a 5-3-2 formation for the derby contest, and it worked effectively for Spurs.

Tottenham managed to have the lion’s share of possession against their capital rivals, and they arguably created the better chances during the match.

“The way Tottenham set up surprised us, and the way they played surprised us – well, it surprised me,” Seaman, who used to represent Arsenal, said.

“I thought that we would be more dominant, but give credit to Tottenham, they came with a game plan and they stuck to it. They created chances, and a draw was a fair result.”

Arsenal had taken the lead in the match, when Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer headed past Hugo Lloris and into his own net.

However, Spurs fired back in the second-half, and grabbed a deserved equaliser when Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot.

The draw means that Tottenham remain unbeaten, after managing to go 11 matches without defeat in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham are next in action after the international break, when they take on West Ham United at White Hart Lane.
