David Seaman has said on Sky Sports News (12:40pm, April 19, 2021) that Arsenal are unlikely to win the European Super League.
The Arsenal legend believes that the chances of the Gunners winning the competition are very slim.
As reported by BBC Sport, Arsenal have joined the European Super League and will not play in the Champions League.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are the other English clubs.
AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid are the other teams who are the Founding Clubs.
Seaman said on Sky Sports News (12:40pm, April 19, 2021): “If I am honest, if Arsenal go into that league, what’s the chances winning that league? Very, very slim, if I am honest.”
Could Arsenal win the European Super League?
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title for years. In fact, the Gunners are not even regulars in the Champions League these days.
With the current squad, it is hard to see manager Mikel Arteta win the European Super League, if it goes ahead.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City have much better squads.
True, with more money coming in, Arsenal would be able to attract better players than they have at the moment, but so would the likes of Madrid and Barcelona.
