Sky Sports pundit David Prutton predicts a draw between Sunderland and Leeds United.
Leeds United travel to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland in the EFL Championship clash on Saturday.
Sky Sports pundit, David Prutton, says it’s a “tough one to call” with both sides heading into the tie remaining unbeaten so far.
Both the clubs have gone through a rebuilding phase this summer, and both share the same points on the table after the opening three games.
Leeds, under new manager Thomas Christiansen, won their opening Championship game 2-3 against Bolton, but have drawn their next two matches against Preston and Fulham respectively.
Likewise, Sunderland have made a steady progress under Simon Grayson. The Black Cats won against Norwich 1-3, and drew their other two games.
Prutton says that had it been the first game of the season, he would have fancied Leeds to grab a victory at the Stadium of Light. But, he says that the Black Cats have got a “bit of steel” about them now.
The Sky Sports pundits expects Grayson to turn the “funky” atmosphere around at Stadium of Light with a few wins. He predicts a high scoring 2-2 draw against Leeds.
“This is a tough one to call. If this was the first game of the season you would fancy Leeds to go there and turn Sunderland over, but it looks like they’ve got a bit of steel about them now,” writes Prutton for Sky Sports.
“There was such a funky atmosphere at the Stadium of Light, but Simon Grayson will be hoping to keep turning that around with a few wins. He’s a low maintenance character and he’s lifted them a bit already. I fancy a high-scoring entertaining draw.”
