Sheffield United host Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Friday night.

On paper, you would be forgiven for believing that the Blades should ensure that they go into the weekend inside the Championship’s top six by beating the Owls.

Chris Wilder’s men are second and their form is fairly impressive with two wins from their last four games in all competitions, while Wednesday have won once in their last 11 and are 12 points back of their bitter rivals in 16th.
However, the game will be Jos Luhukay’s first game of charge of the Owls after being appointed as Carlos Carvalhal’s successor at Hillsborough, and derbies often see the formbook somewhat thrown out of the window – and Prutton believes that Luhukay could oversee a positive result in his first game in charge.

“The first game between these two at Hillsborough was one of the games of the season in the Championship and, once again, this is a tough one to call. I’m going to have to go for an entertaining draw.”
Despite the fact that United have only drawn three games all season, it may not be that great a surprise if the points are shared given that those three draws came in the Blades’ last eight games, while Wednesday have actually drawn more games than they have won in the league this term.
