Leeds United can extend their hold over non-play-off sides to 11 points by beating Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Former Leeds United midfielder David Prutton is positive about his old side’s chances against Fulham on Tuesday.
Leeds have overcome difficult tests against Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City in their last two outings and face arguably the toughest of the lot at Craven Cottage.
The seventh-placed Cottagers have won four of their last five Championship fixtures to home in on the division’s top-six, on all but one of whom (Huddersfield Town) they have a game in hand.
And though a win for Fulham would cut Leeds’ gap to five points over the Londoners, success for the Whites would leave them 11 points clear of Slavisa Jokanovic’s side – and all but erase their fears of missing out on a play-off place this season.
Writing in his weekly predictions column for Sky Sports, Prutton plumped for the latter outcome, with Leeds sneaking a 2-1 win in the capital.
“If Leeds win at Fulham then I’d think their almost home and hosed for the play-offs,” the 35-year-old said. “It would be a massive result and I think they can do it. Psychologically it would be a huge stepping stone for the squad.
“Leeds can win games in an un-sexy fashion, like they did at Birmingham. It won’t be easy against one of the best footballing teams in the division, but Chris Wood could just make the difference.”
Leeds’ Chris Wood celebrates his second goal against Birmingham
Wood scored his 24th and 25th goals of the season against Birmingham, maintaining his record of having found the net against every team in the Championship this term – with Fulham falling victim to the New Zealander back in August.
