Leeds United have their biggest game of the season tomorrow.

David Prutton has told Sky Sports that he expects Leeds United to pick up their first win at Brentford for 69 years tomorrow.

Friday’s 2-1 defeat to 10-man Wigan Athletic saw Marcelo Bielsa’s side drop out of the automatic promotion places, with three Championship games to go.

Victory at Griffin Park could see Leeds move back into second place if Sheffield United – ahead of the Whites on goal difference – drop points away to Hull City.

Problem is, Brentford away hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Elland Road club, who haven’t won there since 1950, but the former United midfielder expects Bielsa’s side to end that hoodoo tomorrow.

He told Sky Sports: “This should be a cracker to finish off a packed weekend of EFL action. Leeds will be desperate to better, or at least match, Sheffield United’s result after their shock defeat to Wigan at Elland Road on Good Friday, and despite Brentford’s formidable home record this season, they have little to play for.

“The Whites haven’t won at Griffin Park since August 1950, but I’m backing them to take all three points on this occasion.”

It would be heartbreaking for Leeds if they didn’t win promotion to the Premier League.

They have spent more time in the top two positions than any other side this season and there’s no describing the devastation for the fans if Bielsa’s side fall short, especially considering it was in their hands before the Latics beat them.
