The Sky Sports pundit says this Aston Villa man is one to watch.
David Prutton has told Sky Sports that Mile Jedinak will be Aston Villa’s key player in December.
The wounded Villans host Wigan Athletic this weekend on the back of losing 2-0 at Leeds United last Saturday for their first defeat in Steve Bruce’s reign as manager.
Bruce’s side are six points adrift of the top six at the moment but beating the Latics could see them move within three of a playoff spot.
The Australia midfielder has managed 14 Championship appearances for Aston Villa following his summer move from Aston Villa.
Villa fans have not loved him unconditionally and there was criticism early doors, but he looks a much better player under Bruce than he did under Roberto Di Matteo.
The 32-year-old was an ever-present figure for Palace in the Premier League over the past three years or so, and Prutton says that Jedinak is an important player for the West Midlands side this season.
“Villa needed a player capable of shouldering the responsibility of playing centre-midfield for such a big club, and they found one in Jedinak,” he told Sky Sports in his Player To Watch feature.
“He has Premier League and international experience, which is important for a team resurgent under Steve Bruce.”
