Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have long been linked with Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, but David Provan wants him to join a club in the Premier League, with Brighton and Hove Albion and Bournemouth reportedly interested.

Back in June 2017, The Express reported that Celtic were planning to sign McGinn from Hibernian in the summer of 2017, while a report in ChronicleLive in February 2018 stated that the performances of the Scotland international this season have caught the eye of the Glasgow giants.
McGinn is one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership and has proved himself already in the division.
Celtic legend Provan has suggested that the 23-year-old former St. Mirren star should move to a club in the Premier League in the summer transfer window.

The former Celtic and Scotland international winger wrote in The Scottish Sun: “Hibs supporters won’t like to hear it, but John McGinn has to move on this summer. At 23, he should be testing himself at a bigger club.
“With a year left on his contract, the midfielder is calling all the shots and won’t be short of offers in the next window.
“He should be targeting England’s Premier League next season and a contract that would set him up for life.”

Premier League interest
McGinn’s form for Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership this season has not gone unnoticed in England.
According to The Daily Mail, McGinn is a £3 million target for Premier League duo Brighton and Hove Albion and Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.
If £3m is all it would take to secure the services of the Hibernian star, then Celtic should not pass the chance.
